Distinctive elements of our educational project

The Agora Sant Cugat International School and its Infant School’s Education Project is defined by five distinctive elements: the International Baccalaureate as a model for the future, multilingualism, STEAM, sport and the commitment to provide our students with the tools to grow as global citizens who can shape the world.

IB: An education for the future

IB: Un modelo de futuro

The International Baccalaureate® (IB) provides students with a comprehensive, well-regarded academic qualification, which is accepted by the world’s most prestigious universities. The IB is an innovative programme designed to develop key competences, enabling our students to achieve their academic, professional and personal goals within an international framework.

Multilingualism

Multilingualism

Multilingüismo

We prepare our students for an international future. We offer a multilingual curriculum with immersion in both English and official languages and with classes offered in French, German and Chinese. To complement our school-based language programme, students are invited to participate in international events, exchanges and trips to a variety of overseas destinations.

STEAM: Science and Arts

Música y expresión

Art and Science through STEAM abilities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) is a teaching approach that encourages group work and the integration of highly related skills. These five competencies are the key to the integral development of children since they provide enormous cognitive and personal benefits and enhance their communication skills.

STEAM: Science and Arts

Sport, Health & Fitness

Sport, Health & Fitness

Deportes y salud

We promote the values implicit in participating in sporting activity, such as self-discipline, determination, a sense of fair-play and team spirit. At Agora Sant Cugat International School, we have a passion for sport and encourage our pupils to embrace healthy habits, enjoy an active lifestyle and to work towards long-term emotional and physical balance.

Shaping the world

Shaping the world

Children entering education today will graduate as young adults in 2030. Our mission is to prepare them for jobs that have not yet been created, for technologies that have not yet been invented, and to solve problems that have not yet been anticipated. We must encourage our young people to embrace and shape their own futures and to understand that they form part of a wider international community and are capable of shaping the world.
