Agora Sant Cugat International School achieves fantastic results in the international PISA tests
Once again, Agora Sant Cugat International School achieved excellent results in the Program for the International Student Assessment (better known as the PISA testing program). These tests are offered to students from around the world who are 15 years old and evaluate performance in maths, science and literacy. The tests provide accurate results on performance levels for students from more than 70 countries world-wide.
This year our students achieved better results than students from the best schools in countries considered to be educational world leaders including Japan, Finland and Korea. Agora San Cugat obtained 560 points for Reading, 582 for mathematics and 552 for Science, which means an average score of 565 points on the three main tests. Our students therefore performed better than the Spanish average in all subjects, and higher than students in OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development) countries and other educationally renowned countries such as Canada and the countries mentioned above.
These results provide further evidence of the success of our school community as a whole, with students, teachers and parents working together in a structured, positive and inspiring educational environment designed to help our students to be the best that they can be. We extend our thanks to everyone who has worked with us over the years to achieve these outstanding standards. We are committed to the ongoing pursuit of educational excellence, to continue to provide a stimulating and innovative learning environment for our students and constantly to develop the scope and quality of our school.
