An international, innovative and multi-lingual curriculum for the 21st Century
The curriculum at Agora Sant Cugat International School focuses on real life global challenges and their context. This makes our students aware of global issues from the past, present and future and which affect different countries, cultures and populations. We create ethical people, who show an interest in wanting to understand and deal with global problems and issues.
Agora Sant Cugat is an IB World School. Infant and Primary pupils at Agora Sant Cugat International School follow the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate (IB). In a worldwide study called the International Assessment of Schools, pupils studying PSP and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) of the IB performed better than pupils that were following other programmes.
In baccalaureate pupils can study the Diploma Programme of the International Baccalaureate. Numerous reports show that those who have studied the Diploma Programme are better prepared to carry out work which requires research at university, cope with the workload and challenges of time management better and complete their university studies before their classmates.
In our multilingual context, learning English as a first foreign language is given special importance. Our pupils become familiar with the language from very early on, along with Spanish and Catalan. Mandarin Chinese is introduced at Infant school and goes through to the first years of Primary. A third foreign language – French or German – is introduced at a later stage.
A true educational adventure for the youngest ones typified by its immersion in English, creative development, emotional intelligence and musical stimulation. Each child receives personalised attention that makes them the main players of their own learning.Further Information
