IB: An education for the future

The International Baccalaureate® (IB) offers a curriculum that is universally accepted by higher education institutions throughout the world.

The programme delivers broad-based, academically demanding courses for students, who are guided along this journey by highly qualified, professional teachers working within an innovative educational framework. The IB qualification is welcomed by the world’s most prestigious universities.

The International Baccalaureate® (IB) is a forward-thinking educational model that focuses on developing key competences and helping students to work towards achieving academic, personal and professional success within an international context. Students are encouraged to think independently and to be self-motivated in their learning. Learning in different languages helps pupils to develop greater cultural awareness and enables them to relate to others in an increasingly globalised and constantly changing world.

At Agora Sant Cugat International School we teach the Diploma Programme (DP) of the International Baccalaureate® (IB), which together with the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Middle Years Programme (MYP), makes our school one of the 20 schools in Spain authorised to teach what is known as the IB Continuum.
At Agora Pipo and Agora Patufet Infant School we teach PYP which encourages the curiosity of the youngest children and turns them into managers of their own learning in a welcoming and trusting environment which favours emotional, affective, physical, social and cognitive development.

As an IB World School, we have created a learning environment that is pro-active, innovative and reflective and we are constantly striving to improve; our mission is to educate young people who are committed to improving their own futures, and the future of the world around them.
